A family called on Deborah to help them buy a home in Jerusalem. Deborah narrowed the search to the right neighborhoods, and showed them various options. They finally fell in love with a certain complex of four buildings with many American residents and minyanim on site. It was within walking distance of First Station, Baka and the Old City. Together, Deborah and her client focused their requirements on a few apartments that fell within their budget. She did everything she could to secure one of those apartments, including networking with local realtors and meeting residents of the complex. Eventually, an agent who lived nearby found an apartment owner who was interested in selling. The price was high at the time, but the property has appreciated tremendously since then. Deborah negotiated a seamless transaction, recommending a mortgage broker, a lawyer and an interior designer who made it a really smooth process. She even helped the client to find a renter to live in the apartment until they were ready to move in. Deborah has since helped the client’s children with their real estate transactions, because the family is happy to trust her completely.
