A family called Deborah from the States with instructions to buy a home in Shaare Chesed. This is a small neighborhood with very few homes for sale, and most are never advertised publicly. Deborah listened to the client’s needs on the phone, networked with her connections, and scheduled a time to meet them during their visit to Israel. One house in particular was challenging to visit because the seller was uncooperative. But Deborah’s client wanted that house and only that house because she had grown up vacationing on that street. She made a deal with an extended family member, who was also a broker, to let her view the property, and then gently courted the seller until they agreed to sell to her client. It took a full year of Deborah’s persistence and her client’s patience and trust to make this sensitive sale happen. The buyer did not have to visit again from the USA and the seller closed virtually. Deborah remains close with both the seller and the buyer today.
